Why is Christ our Saviour?
Why do we need one?
Scriptures in this study:

1. Where Sin Started: Man’s First Disobedience

"So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food... she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate."
This was the first sin — Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s direct command. That choice broke their connection with God's Spirit and brought sin into the world: Having no Children and having chosen to sever themselves from God's Spirit, they could only produce broken children...

2. The Result: Sin and Death Passed to All

"Therefore, just as sin came into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned—"
Through Adam, sin entered. With sin came death. Now every human inherits that problem — we’re born into a fallen race separated from God and headed to the grave on the day of our birth.

3. The Persisting Present Condition: All Have Sinned

"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"
It’s not just Adam’s sin anymore. Each of us has personally sinned. We all fall short. That knowledge confirms we need a Saviour — we can’t fix it ourselves. Our help is beyond our abilities!

4. The Penalty for Sin: Death

God told Adam, "You may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, (17) except the tree that gives knowledge of what is good and what is bad. You must not eat the fruit of that tree; if you do, you will die."
God clearly instructed Adam, and through him Eve, that disobedience would cause death.
"For sin pays its wage—death; but God's free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord."
The payment for sin is death. But God offers a free gift, not wages. That gift is eternal life, and it comes only through union with Jesus Christ.

5. The First Promise: A Saviour Foretold

"And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."
Right after sin entered, God promised a solution. The “Seed of the woman” would crush the serpent’s head, though He Himself would be bruised. This is the first prophecy of Christ as Saviour.
"... And your Seed will be a blessing to all the nations of the earth, because you have done what I gave you orders to do."
God here expanded and or reaffirmed His Promise to Eve that her seed would destroy Satan. Abraham is her descendant, so his seed is hers... The then future seed of them both, of course, is Christ!

6. The Fulfillment: God’s Love in Christ

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
God kept His promise. He gave His Son. The Seed of the woman arrived. Belief in Him reverses death — we don’t perish, we have eternal life.

7. The Means: Christ Suffered for Sins; and, Awakens Us

"For Christ also suffered for sins once for all time, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God"
Jesus was the bruised heel from Genesis 3:15. He was just — sinless. We are unjust. He took our place, suffered once for sins, to bring us back to God.
"Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother, "This child is the reason that many people in Israel will be condemned and many others will be saved. He will be a sign that will expose (35) the thoughts of those who reject him."
Jesus is the litmus test for all alive, and all who will live. Just the hearing of his words moves people from ignorance to wisdom or stupidity [stupidity is being judged as bad]! (John 3:18-19 of 16-21)

8. The Exclusive Claim: No Other Name

"Salvation is to be found through him alone; in all the world there is no one else whom God has given who can save us."
Since sin came through one man Adam, salvation comes through one man Christ. No other name can undo what Adam did.
'While he was talking, a shining cloud came over them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my own dear Son, with whom I am pleased---listen to him!"'
יהוה's only latter day command, [since Jesus started preaching] is to listen to his son. God's Spirit is alive in the words He sent Jesus to Bring. (John 6:63) That spirit grants up power to survive Armageddon or... (Matthew 21:21-22)

9. Jesus Alone Paid the Price | The Beauty of Life

(5) "But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received."

Isaiah 53:1-12 GNB The people reply, "Who would have believed what we now report? Who could have seen the LORD's hand in this? (2) It was the will of the LORD that his servant grow like a plant taking root in dry ground. He had no dignity or beauty to make us take notice of him. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing that would draw us to him. (3) We despised him and rejected him; he endured suffering and pain. No one would even look at him--- we ignored him as if he were nothing. (4) "But he endured the suffering that should have been ours, the pain that we should have borne. All the while we thought that his suffering was punishment sent by God. (5) But because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received. (6) All of us were like sheep that were lost, each of us going his own way. But the LORD made the punishment fall on him, the punishment all of us deserved. (7) "He was treated harshly, but endured it humbly; he never said a word. Like a lamb about to be slaughtered, like a sheep about to be sheared, he never said a word. (8) He was arrested and sentenced and led off to die, and no one cared about his fate. He was put to death for the sins of our people. (9) He was placed in a grave with those who are evil, he was buried with the rich, even though he had never committed a crime or ever told a lie." (10) The LORD says, "It was my will that he should suffer; his death was a sacrifice to bring forgiveness. And so he will see his descendants; he will live a long life, and through him my purpose will succeed. (11) After a life of suffering, he will again have joy; he will know that he did not suffer in vain. My devoted servant, with whom I am pleased, will bear the punishment of many and for his sake I will forgive them. (12) And so I will give him a place of honor, a place among the great and powerful. He willingly gave his life and shared the fate of evil men. He took the place of many sinners and prayed that they might be forgiven."
Since sin came through Adam and Eve, leaving their unborn children [all of us] without hope, God appointed his firstborn son to be our deliverer. The Bible recounts the 6000 year project of God to establish that Kingdom of Jesus Christ. Eternal life is right now your for the taking... (Mal 3:16-4:3)
If these scriptures tugged at your heart strings, you should print them on paper
Rev 4:2-5:10
or in some fashion share them with everyone you know! (Mal 3:16-4:3)

Malachi 3:16-18 MWT ...At that time those in fear of יהוה spoke with one another. יהוה kept paying attention and listening, so that a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared him and esteemed his name. (17) "They shall be mine, says יהוה of hosts, in the day when I make up my special property [gather my chosen people (Gal 3:26-29)], and I will protect them just as a man shows compassion for his own son who serves him. (18) Then you will see the distinction between the righteous one and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.
