Romans 8:13-17 GNB For if you live according to your human nature, you are going to die; but if by the Spirit you put to death your sinful actions, you will live. (14) Those who are led by God's Spirit are God's children. (If you have heard God's command (Mat 17:5) and are actually listening to his son and him alone, (Mat 7:15) it means you are being led by God's spirit. - John 6-44) (15) For the Spirit that God has given you does not make you slaves and cause you to be afraid; instead, the Spirit makes you God's children, and by the Spirit's power we cry out to God, "Father! my Father!" (16) God's Spirit joins himself to our spirits to declare that we are God's children. (17) Since we are his children, we will possess the blessings he keeps for his people, and we will also possess with Christ what God has kept for him; for if we share Christ's suffering, we will also share his glory.

Romans 8:13-17 ESV For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (14) For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. (If you have heard God's command (Mat 17:5) and are actually listening to his son and him alone, (Mat 7:15) it means you are being led by God's spirit. - John 6-44) (15) For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" (16) The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, (17) and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.

Romans 8:13-17 ALT For if you live according to the flesh, you are about to die; but if by [the] Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. (14) For as many as are led by [the] Spirit of God, these are the sons [and daughters] of God. (If you have heard God's command (Mat 17:5) and are actually listening to his son and him alone, (Mat 7:15) it means you are being led by God's spirit. - John 6-44) (15) For you did not receive a spirit of slavery again for fear, but you received [the] Spirit of adoption [i.e., the formal and legal declaration that we are His children] in which we cry out, "Dad [Gr. Abba], Father!" (16) The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God! (17) Now if children, also heirs—heirs on the one hand of God, joint-heirs on the other hand with Christ, since we suffer together, so that we shall also be glorified together.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals.
