The establishment of the Kingdom is bringing deliverance for people of goodwill and retribution to all who have refused to submit to God's Anointed King!
Isaiah 24:21-23 GNB . . .A time is coming when the LORD (יהוה) will punish the powers above and the rulers of the earth. (22) God will crowd kings together like prisoners in a pit. He will shut them in prison until the time of their punishment comes. (23) The moon will grow dark, and the sun will no longer shine, for the LORD (יהוה) Almighty will be king. He will rule in Jerusalem on Mount Zion, and the leaders of the people will see his glory.
Isaiah 24:21-23 CEV . . .On that day the LORD (יהוה) will punish the powers in the heavens and the kings of the earth. (22) He will put them in a pit and keep them prisoner. Then later on, he will punish them. (23) The moon and sun will both be embarrassed and ashamed. The LORD (יהוה) All-Powerful will rule on Mount Zion in Jerusalem, where he will show its rulers his wonderful glory.
Isaiah 24:21-23 ESV . . .On that day the LORD (יהוה) will punish the host of heaven, in heaven, and the kings of the earth, on the earth. (22) They will be gathered together as prisoners in a pit; they will be shut up in a prison, and after many days they will be punished. (23) Then the moon will be confounded and the sun ashamed, for the LORD (יהוה) of hosts reigns on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, and his glory will be before his elders.
Isaiah 24:21-23 GW . . .On that day the LORD (יהוה) will punish heaven's armies in heaven and earth's kings on earth. (22) They'll be gathered like prisoners in a jail and locked in prison. After a long time they'll be punished. (23) The moon will be embarrassed. The sun will be ashamed, because the LORD (יהוה) of Armies will rule on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem. He will be glorious in the presence of his respected leaders.

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals. The Translations we quote are:
