••• You should recognize and know "and use" God's Hebrew Name! It is יהוה and sounds like
to English speakers... God Himself wrote with his own finger on stone tablets He then gave to Moses. (Exo 31:18) Using the Diving Name of our Creator is a uniting force in this divided world! •••
Genesis 13:14-17 CEV After Abram and Lot had gone their separate ways, the LORD (יהוה) said to Abram: Look around to the north, south, east, and west. (15) I will give you and your family all the land you can see. It will be theirs forever! (16) I will give you more descendants than there are specks of dust on the earth, and someday it will be easier to count the specks of dust than to count your descendants. (17) Now walk back and forth across the land, because I am giving it to you.
Genesis 13:14-17 GNB After Lot had left, the LORD (יהוה) said to Abram, "From where you are, look carefully in all directions. (15) I am going to give you and your descendants all the land that you see, and it will be yours forever. (16) I am going to give you so many descendants that no one will be able to count them all; it would be as easy to count all the specks of dust on earth! (17) Now, go and look over the whole land, because I am going to give it all to you."
Genesis 13:14-17 ASV And Jehovah (יהוה) said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art, northward and southward and eastward and westward: (15) for all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever. (16) And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then may thy seed also be numbered. (17) Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.
Genesis 13:14-17 ESV The LORD (יהוה) said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him, "Lift up your eyes and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, (15) for all the land that you see I will give to you and to your offspring forever. (16) I will make your offspring as the dust of the earth, so that if one can count the dust of the earth, your offspring also can be counted. (17) Arise, walk through the length and the breadth of the land, for I will give it to you."
Genesis 13:14-17 NWT 14 And Jehovah (יהוה) said to A´bram after Lot had separated from him: “Raise your eyes, please, and look from the place where you are, northward and southward and eastward and westward, 15 because all the land at which you are looking, to you and to your seed I am going to give it until time indefinite. 16 And I will constitute your seed like the dust particles of the earth, so that, if a man could be able to count the dust particles of the earth, then your seed could be numbered. 17 Get up, go about in the land through its length and through its breadth, because to you I am going to give it.”

You will note the reference windows often include more than one translation of the Bible. The reason is to strive to gain the best possible understanding of the original Hebrew and Greek. Since we don't speak those languages, we rely on those who have come before and made the effort to translate those texts into English for us. Considering several translations gives the benefit of the understanding of several translation committees or individuals. The Translations we quote are:
